My home is more than 20 years old and we are remodeling it. I want to share with you some of the steps and ideas of the changes we have made. After painting the interior, (click here to view our blog post about repainting) the next step was the kitchen. We had to come up with a plan on what to do with the kitchen cabinets. Should we keep them as they were, stain, paint or replace them? We need to coordinate a look that was clean and fresh to go along with the griege walls and white trim.
We decided to paint them and kept the counter tops and backslash tile the same. Now we had to choose a color to paint the cabinets that would blend with our existing walls and counter tops. Soft gray looked like our answer with new hardware.
We continued to do the same with cabinets in the bathroom and laundry area.
I love the look it gives and the feeling of comfort.
