Winter Teatime

It’s cold outside. Being inside near a warm and cozy fireplace is comforting. A small table set with fresh flowers, teacups, and a favorite teapot is the beginning of an afternoon teatime.

I like to start with a warm teacup of soup. A menu that follows with finger sandwiches, a trio of mini desserts, fresh fruit served on a three-tier tray, and of course scones with sweet cream and jam. Everything is light and refreshing.

Lace doilies, napkins, and small trays add a special touch. I enjoy using so many of these items because they have been given to me by friends and I like to share their gifts with others.

Celebrate the winter months by having an afternoon tea with your friends.
