We definitely have made some changes to our home from repainting the interior walls to remodeling our kitchen (you can read about those previous projects by clicking on the links). The next project on our list of home improvements was refinishing the wood floors in the kitchen and entry hall. We were pleased when we moved in to find a good solid hardwood floor in theses areas. Authentic hardwood has a charm all on its own, plus it is durable and will last a lifetime.
We chose a walnut stain to compliment our newly painted greige walls, white trim and soft gray cabinets. The floor remodel process consisted of sanding, staining and restoring the cut in the floor to carry power to the island in the kitchen.
The contrast was perfect and added the update to our home that we were looking for. The rich, warm brown flooring pulled everything together.
