Teddy Bear Tea Party

To me a teddy bear symbolizes friendship, love, and comfort. So we are calling you and all your bear hugging friends to a tea party.

We have provided free printable party invitations, place cards and gift tags or you can buy some at your favorite store. The place cards are used to show where each person sits and has their name written on it. When your guest leaves they can take the place card with them as a memory of your tea party.

For these DIY projects you will need:

  • card stock paper to print on
  • scissors
  • hole puncher
  • ribbon

Invitations

Cut out the teacup and the teddy bear invite. Punch a hole in the upper left corner and feed the ribbon through both pieces of paper and tie a bow. We cut our ribbon length to approximately 16 inches.

Place Cards

Cut around the place cards and fold them in half. Write down the name of your guest in sharpie or pen.

Invite your guests to bring a teddy bear or share one of yours at the party. We have ideas about how to host a tea party from decor, suggestions, tips for games and entertainment along with beverage ideas for the teacups.

What you will need:

  • Table and Chairs
  • Linens
  • Tea set (cup, saucer and teapot)
  • Serving Trays
  • Edible treats
  • Beverage
  • Invitations and place cards
  • Table Decoration (flowers etc.)

Your edible treats can be made ahead of time. Like teapot or honey bear tea sandwiches, teapot cookies and more. Serve sweetened herbal teas like a punch or milk for the teacups.

Games and Entertainment. You want the tea party to be fun! One game, can be “Going on a bear hunt!” Hide the teddy bear with store bought honey spoons. Have the children look for the teddy bear and the one who finds it will get to keep the bear but must share the honey spoons with the other guests.

Hope you enjoyed some of our ideas.
